Osnabrück – Turmstraße/Ecke Jakobstraße.

Osnabrück, Turmstraße 8. In 1827 Lortzing lived in the house most left at the picture, at the corner of the Jakobstraße. On the house was a granite plaque, granted by the “Neuen Liedertafel” from Osnabrück:

“In diesem Hause wohnte im Jahre 1827 Albert Lortzing, geb. 23. Oktober 1801 zu Berlin, gest. daselbst 21 Januar 1851”.

The house is destroyed.

Detmold – Kleine Markt 43

In this house in Detmold Lortzing and his family lived between 1827-1830, with his collegue Gladbach.
On 2 Feb 1830 there was a fire in the house; after this Lortzing moved to the house at the Lange Straße.


Detmold – Lange Straße – Haus des Bäckermeisters Priester

Lortzing lived here from Feb 1830 until 1832.
