Albert Lortzing lectures in the United Kingdom

James Murray, a well-known musical consultant, discographer, writer, speaker and musicologist, will be giving three talks on Lortzing in the United Kingdom. Which is rather special, because Lortzing, who is "too German" to be esteemed in other countries, is little known in England. Maybe mr. Murray will be able to win some converts.

So, in case you want to attend, here are the times & venues:

8 November 2016: Clarendon Park Congregational Church Hall, London Road, Leicester (19.30 – 21.30)
7 January 2017: Dower Court, William Plows Avenue off Heslington Road, York YO10 5AD (14.00 – 16.45)
1 February 2017: St Matthias Church Hall, Babbacombe Road, Wellswood, Torquay (19.30 – 21.30).

There will probably be a small entrance fee (usually between £3.00 and £5.00) for people who are not already members of the Leicester, York or Torbay Recorded Society groups, and probably a discount for students.
