Osnabrück, Turmstraße 8. In 1827 Lortzing lived in the house most left at the picture, at the corner of the Jakobstraße. On the house was a granite plaque, granted by the “Neuen Liedertafel” from Osnabrück:
“In diesem Hause wohnte im Jahre 1827 Albert Lortzing, geb. 23. Oktober 1801 zu Berlin, gest. daselbst 21 Januar 1851”.

In this house in Detmold Lortzing and his family lived between 1827-1830, with his collegue Gladbach. On 2 Feb 1830 there was a fire in the house; after this Lortzing moved to the house at the Lange Straße.
